SOLAR PLANT
AL KHARSAAH
SOLAR PLANT
Located 80 km West of Doha, the Al Kharsaah plant is the first large scale photovoltaic plant in Qatar with 800 MWp installed solar capacity. The plant was constructed on a 1000-hectare terrain, equivalent to approximately 1400 football pitches, and integrates 2 million high-efficiency bifacial modules mounted on single-axis trackers.
It was a daunting challenge to coordinate this ceremony with intricate high protocol and security requirements, whilst still captivating the audience. With Qvision Productions at the helm of project management, we overcame all development stages by adhering to tender conditions as well as entwining relevant technical information about solar plant operations into event materials.
MAKE IT
MEMORABLE.
HOW?
The life-giving power of the sun is a remarkable and miraculous force, one that has helped shape our planet since its earliest beginnings. With this in mind, we sought to demonstrate how humanity can capture solar energy as an invaluable resource for Qatar's energetic sector.
Moreover, by integrating innovative ideas into the setup and content preparation of the inauguration ceremony, it surly became a top event in the Power sector trough all the region.

DEEPSCREEN
STAGE
DESIGN
The DeepScreen is a technique called 'anamorphosis or forced perspective, the method of warping imagery so that when seen from a specific point, the illusions of 3D deepness are created on flat surfaces. This is quite a common effect for outdoor LED screens, especially when the general position of the square or street doesn't give many points of view on the screen. But we wanted to challenge ourselves and integrate this effect into the stage. Where all points of view must be equally astonishing.
First of all, we have developed such a screen structure so that it could provide this effect at more wide angle. It was a great cooperation between our creative team and the technical team of Qvision Production with 2 test models of the stage. Then we worked with content in a complementary way. So if a person seating at the endpoint of the row, the whole content still works for him as the screen is flat.
TEMPORARY
INSTALLATIONES
ZONE
To provide a meaningful and enjoyable experience to our visitors prior to the official event, we have introduced a temporary Installations zone in the welcome area. This interactive space was designed collaboratively with ingenieurs from Qatar Gas and Plant, showcasing their innovative technologies through six distinctive zones on the venue. From presenting robots, which cleaning panels from sand at one station to an installation that turns solar energy into electricity via hand movement using Kinetic mechanisms.
This interactive temporary museum (how we calling it internally) provided plenty of opportunities for engagement the audience while introducing new technological advancements. This type of experience on official Energy sector events is new, but show itself in best results.

MAPPING
This installation provided a detailed visual journey into how energy from the sun's rays is processed and transformed, ultimately providing power for our beloved desk lamps. Each stage of this process was laid out clearly in an informative printed canvas. It was synchronised with mapping animation of the scheme, what brought to it a magical feel.
3. PLANT
EXHIBITS
To better equip our visitors with a comprehensive understanding of how solar energy works, we created an interactive exhibition zone featuring key elements from the plant alongside with explainers-displays.Through this collection and with examples how each object particularly works on set, it was possible to illustrate and explain each component that makes up the heart of a solar station - demonstrating why its fundamental process is anything but simplistic!

SOLAR ENERGY
PORTAL
On this remarkable point, we focused on creating an interactive atmosphere. As a result, the installation was extremely well-received! Incorporated into it were life-sized solar modules with tracking systems that could follow hand movement as if they were rays from the sun in the sky. In order to view energy's journey from its source to cities, users had to trigger certain points on their main energy portal screen - and that was a good game interaction for all visitors!

MOTIVE
Our team was determined to integrate solar panels as a core component of the visuals and designs.A special highlight is our Chronological Wall, which showcases photos from every stage in plant production through design in modules. What made this even more impressive was that heavy LEDs were integrated by VLS Event Technology in such rigging position into temporary structures for the first time ever!
LAUNCHING
MOMENT
His Highness graced the event with a special moment of activation to signify its importance, selecting from several options presented by Qvision Production and us. With an eruption of lights and sounds in a truly breathtaking display, His Highness finally unveiled the solar module setup - thats what have activated the Plant.
