From the Pharos to a round Earth — the ancient city’s knowledge, played on the building.
The city that measured the Earth.
An open-air mapping show about Alexandria’s great age of science — built for a pyramid-shaped facade and a crowd in front of it.
The story moves through the ancient city: the lighthouse of Pharos, the Serapeum, the library’s scrolls, Eratosthenes proving the Earth is a sphere and the idea that the planets turn around the Sun — then fire, loss and rebirth.
Every scene uses the geometry of the facade: stone blocks slide, sphinxes rise out of the steps and dates are carved into the building as the timeline moves on.
Stone, scrolls and stars.
The facade becomes a timeline of discovery.
