Watch the closing.
Projection, fountains and fire on the canal — the festival’s final night.
A skyline made for light.
For the closing of Circle of Light 2016, a structure in the outline of a modern city — 52 metres high, 118 metres wide and 800 tonnes — was built on the rowing canal.
We created the mapping content for this purpose-built facade: the skyline turned into glass towers, a tropical beach, a pixel city and a stage for fountains and pyrotechnics, all reflected in the water in front of the audience.
Idea and story by LBL communication group.
The whole show, checked before the night.
Every chapter was built on a 1:1 model of the 118-metre structure — the black gaps are the real openings in the set.
