The facade, transformed.
The mapping content laid on the facade model — scene by scene.
Architecture rewritten in light.
3D mapping content for a colonnaded facade in Almaty — built so the real columns stay the anchor while everything around them changes.
The show starts by tracing the building itself — windows, cornices and columns picked out in white light — then begins to rebuild it: a Gothic front with stained glass, an antique ruin held up by atlantes, a Baroque gallery overgrown with flowers.
In between the architecture turns into a machine, a sci-fi portal and a surface of shattered colour, and a traditional ornament appears at the centre of the facade. Every scene was modelled on an exact map of the building, so the colonnade reads through each style.
A building that changes era.
The same columns, re-dressed in a new style for every scene.
