The facade, start to finish.
The full mapping as seen from across the square.
Architecture as the storyline.
A mapping installation on the long modernist facade of the Central House of Artists — built so the building narrates itself.
The show opens on a sculpted frieze that seems to be carved into the facade, then strips the building back to its construction: cranes lift panels into place and the steel grid of the structure appears line by line.
From there the facade turns into a clean white lettering wall, then breaks into moving colour blocks in the spirit of modernist painting — before closing on the building’s own title. Every scene was drawn on a precise map of the facade, so the windows and the canopy stay part of the picture. Idea by LBL communication group.
From frieze to colour.
One facade, many looks — each built on the same architectural map.
