Fairy tales on a famous facade.
For the Circle of Light festival 2015 we turned the facade of the Central Children’s Store in Moscow into a stage for toys.
Toy Story brought fairy-tale stories to life on the building with a 3D projection show. The facade was wrapped as a gift, rebuilt as a toy factory, carved in wood, painted with folk toys and matryoshka dolls, and finally stacked from bright building blocks.
Every scene was made for the real architecture — its long row of arches, windows and cornice — so the toys seemed to live inside the building. Idea and story came from LBL communication group; NAOS made the 3D mapping content.
Outside, then inside.
After the facade, the store came back to us for its 60th anniversary — this time with projection inside the atrium.
