The team’s road to Sochi: packing, projectors, the control desk and the show.
A skating palace as a screen.
“Vlivaysya” (“Join in”) was a 3D mapping show by Coca-Cola and Panasonic on the facade of the Iceberg Skating Palace during the Winter Games in Sochi, February 2014.
The palace facade is a wave of glass panels, 3,900 m² of it. We built the show around that pixel-like skin: panels flipping into patterns, ornament blooming across the wave, giant rings spinning out of the wall and a countdown that filled the whole building.
Our team travelled with the kit, set up the projector house opposite the palace and ran the show from the control desk for the crowds on the square.
Glass waves, projected.
From the square and from the control desk, filmed live.
