The whole show, on one ultra-wide canvas.
The colour preview of the opening video as it plays across the centre screen, the ceiling screen and eight side wings. Jump to a chapter or watch it with sound.
From the entrance to the ceremony stage.
A cut from the venue walkthrough: the layout, the majlis, the VIP area and the stage.
A tech expo, designed as a journey.
For CONTEQ Expo 2024 we made a venue walkthrough film and the content for the ceremony stage — under one line: Experience the future. Embrace technology.
The walkthrough takes the guest through the whole venue in previz: the layout, a majlis lounge, a bar where a robot arm serves, holographic city models, a VIP area with a data tower under a ceiling of light, and touch tables with glass cubes.
For the opening ceremony we made the stage video — ten scenes across ten LED surfaces: a voice wave and a countdown, city blocks drawn in wireframe, cranes and concrete, automated warehouses and robot arms, ending with the expo’s cube.
Majlis, robots and a tower of data.
Loops from the venue walkthrough.
Ten screens, one picture.
The opening video was composed for the whole stage at once — ten LED surfaces of different shapes and sizes working as one image. Hover or tap a screen to see it.

Drawn first, then built.

SketchOn screenVoice wave
A single line of sound stretches across the stage as the voice-over begins, then rises into a wave.
SketchOn screenThe cube opens
Triangular frames fold open into the expo’s cube — one of the anamorphic moments built for depth.
SketchOn screenBlueprint city
The city is drawn in lines first: cranes and towers rise from the blueprint.
SketchOn screenBuilding site
The machine from the sketch comes to life as a robotic rig working over the site.
SketchOn screenRobot factory
Robot arms assemble the future in a vast factory, framed by the stage’s own architecture.
SketchOn screenThe logo
A lone figure under the cube; the finale lights the whole stage in calm blue.
From storyboard to the stage.
- 01
Storyboard
The voice-over script was split into ten scenes and drawn as a black-and-white storyboard, frame by frame on the real stage layout — then in colour.
- 02
Photomatic
Storyboard frames cut to the timing of the voice-over. The first time the show could be felt as rhythm, not pictures.
- 03
Anamorphic tests
Scenes built on depth illusions were tested on a demo screen with the stage’s technical team before the animation went further.
- 04
Animatic & style frames
A black-and-white animation with draft music, plus style images to agree on camera, movement and colour.
- 05
Colour preview
The full show in colour with music, voice-over and Arabic subtitles — the preview at the top of this page.
- 06
Final render
Every surface rendered at its own native resolution, 25 fps, in HAP for the media server — then rehearsals and upload on site.
