The facade, scene by scene.
A cut from the 3D showcase film: the gate at night, the illustrated scenes and the finale.
Flat colour, a deep gate.
For SABIC in Riyadh we made projection content for a gate-shaped facade and a 3D showcase film that places the show in its city at night.
The content is drawn in flat, bold colour: desert forts, green hills under a big sun, wind turbines and clouds, a satellite over the dunes, a train crossing the landscape and a blue city of towers. Each scene is built around the door in the middle of the gate, so the architecture stays part of the picture.
The showcase film puts the facade into a 3D model with a city skyline and palms, and moves the camera around it the way a guest would see it. The finale closes on the national flag.
