Project Introduction
Working for one of the biggest electronic music festivals in Eastern Europe, Naos Studio was tasked with creating a continuous visual journey for Alfa Future People Festival’s main stage. Our challenge was to design an hour-long content flow that enhanced the energy of the music, synchronized tightly with the DJ’s performance, and elevated the visual identity of the event. The unique stage design featured six panoramic LED screens and a central cube above the DJ booth, demanding advanced content mapping, precise screen masking, and full-environment storytelling across all surfaces.
Solution
Fusing Spiritual Visual with Electronic Sound
Our creative direction blended spiritual symbolism with futuristic music-driven aesthetics. We explored elemental forces like light, water, and cosmic energy, embedding abstract transitions and meditative patterns into the visual flow.
The goal was to keep a balance: to be atmospheric enough to connect emotionally with the crowd while maintaining the dynamic tempo of a live electronic music show. The visual journey reflected both an inner transcendence and the pulsating rhythm of the festival.
Content Quantity and Diversity: Delivering 1 Hour
of Bespoke Audiovisual Loops
For this performance, Naos Studio produced 10 unique animated loops, each designed to match different phases of the DJ set, from build-ups to drops and chill segments. Additionally, we developed 3 major "hero moments"—high-impact, signature sequences reserved for key highlights of the performance. These hero pieces amplified audience emotions at peak musical moments, using narrative visual breaks, enhanced lighting interactions, and synchronized screen effects across the entire setup.
Pioneering 360-Degree Stage Design with Future-Ready Visuals
At the center of the visual architecture was a cube-shaped screen positioned above the DJ booth—one of the boldest stage elements of its time in 2019. Naos Studio created specialized content adapted to the cube format, anticipating the growing trend of immersive cube-shaped and volumetric displays that would later dominate festival design.
Our team engineered dynamic mappings that treated the booth not just as a backdrop, but as a living, breathing object—synchronized with the surrounding screens, the light show, and the beat of the music, creating a seamless, multi-layered visual experience.
