For the prestigious Qatar National Day 2023 celebrations, Naos Studio developed an ambitious visual narrative that reimagined history through cutting-edge multimedia technology. Working alongside national institutions and creative partners, we designed and produced a full holographic and volumetric experience where historical landmarks, cultural elements, and future aspirations unfolded dynamically around the audience.
Our team crafted over 30 unique volumetric scenes. Key to the experience was the integration of AI-driven motion refinement and meditation-themed content sequences, creating a seamless fusion of national pride and futuristic innovation.
Solution
Holographic Volumetric History
In our succinct five-minute showcase, we skillfully condensed key scenes that embody the essence of Qatar, ranging from its desert landscapes and maritime riches to its ambitious vision for 2030.
Collaborating with Decol, our technical challenge centered on the creation of a three-meter holographic surface that melded into the darkness of the open-air venue.
Through meticulous testing and innovative techniques, we adeptly merged content with supplementary particles and atmospheric elements, culminating in the attainment of a flawless solution that captivated audiences and brought Qatar's story to life in vivid detail.

Each scene was meticulously crafted, inspired by authentic objects and symbols deeply embedded in Qatari culture. From the rhythmic motion of oil rigs to the elegance of traditional horse riders, from the silhouettes of fishing boats to the grandeur of stadiums and trophies—every element was custom-designed to reflect the nation’s heritage and its forward-looking spirit.
Freeze animation meditation
Departing from conventional dynamic video formats, we crafted a more artistic and contemplative narrative designed to resonate deeply with viewers. Emphasizing authenticity and immersion, we undertook a thoughtful process of experimentation to create an experience that moved beyond traditional storytelling.
To bring the visuals to life, we developed fluid, custom animations that enriched the narrative and sparked the audience’s imagination. A powerful voiceover guided viewers through a historical journey, reflecting on the significance of the celebration day and Qatar’s evolving identity. The result was a cohesive fusion of visuals, motion, and narration—transforming the content into a meaningful tribute to the nation’s past, present, and future.

AI Integration: Revolutionising Narration
At Naos, we are pioneers in harnessing the power of cutting-edge AI tools to revolutionize our workflow efficiency. Our journey into AI integration begins with the creation of a narrator, a process that involved approximately 60 iterations to ensure authenticity and precision. In the end the AI result was meticulously refined, with manual adjustments made to every detail, resulting in a narrator that truly resonated with our audience.
But our exploration of AI didn't stop there. We also delved into facial animation, leveraging the capabilities of artificial intelligence to seamlessly incorporate lifelike expressions and movements into our scenes. This allowed our narrator to engage directly with visitors, creating a dynamic and immersive experience unlike any other.

For Qatar National Day 2023, Naos Studio created an immersive multimedia experience blending volumetric holograms, AI-driven animations, and meditative visuals. Through over 30 dynamic scenes, we celebrated Qatar’s heritage and future vision, setting a new standard for national storytelling through technology and emotional design.
